Founder

Dale Vince has spent 30 years as a green entrepreneur, founding Ecotricity in 1995 as the world’s first green energy company. It supplies renewable wind and solar power to over 200,000 UK homes and businesses. He created the Electric Highway, owns vegan school-dinner provider Devil’s Kitchen and diamonds from CO2 business Skydiamond. Chairman of FGR – FIFA’s “world’s greenest football club” – he was named a UN Climate Champion in 2018.

Dahlia has nearly 30 year’s worth of experience as a campaigning director & team leader who knows how to get-things-done, often navigating untrodden paths. Effective and confident relationship-builder, she has worked with the United Nations, International NGO’s, Jamie Oliver Food Foundation and corporate brands directing & producing high level creative narratives and events to raise awareness and action for a healthy planet and people - activated in Davos, Cannes, The Global Climate Action Summit and at the United Nations General Assembly.

Helen Taylor

Helen Taylor

GBF Trustee

Helen helps businesses and charities further their environmental mission. She’s a Food Technologist, turned environmentalist with strong project management skills and is a superb connector. Her focus is charity governance, fundraising, partnership development, campaign delivery and event management. She’s also been CEO of Forest Green Rovers FC (FGR) – ‘the World’s greenest football club’ (reference FIFA) – one of the first female CEO’s in football.

Paul is an award winning Geography teacher with nearly 15 years of experience creating innovative and dynamic learning journeys. He is especially interested in radical and critical geography which challenges young people to question the status quo. He developed the MEE framework with Nick Moss and the staff at Minchinhampton Primary Academy.

Meryl Batchelder

Meryl Batchelder

North Coordinator

Meryl is a outspoken climate concious teacher and science educator. She inspired generations of climate activists with her innovative science teaching, connecting with multiple organisations and initiatives to bring learning to life for her students. Meryl leads on the science aspects of the MEE framework and frequently speaks to audiences about weaving sustainability through teaching.

Midlands Coordinator

Hannah is an Early Years teacher based in the Midlands. She prioritises nature in her teaching and uses sustainability as a vehicle to bring her school community together. Hannah leads on the Early Years aspects of the MEE Framework where she brings together academic research and teacher expertise.

Nirvana Yarger

Nirvana Yarger

South East Coordinator

Nirvana is a primary teacher from London with a special interest in alternative and home education. Nirvana works with local charities and organisations to engage young people in learning linked to ideas of community and sustainability. She was part of the Catalyse Change Programme and regularly speaks to trainee teachers about her experience.

Tess Draper

East Coordinator

Tess is a primary teacher from the East of England with an enthusiasm for community organising and connecting with people. She plays an active role across the East in championing climate action.

Tom

Tom Pether

South West Coordinator

Tom is an ex primary school headteacher with decades of experience leading school communities. Alonsgside his role with MEE, Tom is the Sustainability Lead across a trust in the South West. He is a history specialist as well as an expert in how trusts can support their staff to embrace climate and nature.

Pim

Pim Sullivan Tailyour

Network of Activators Coordinator

Pim is a youth climate activist and environmental science graduate from King's College London. She has an interest in climate justice and eco-anxiety and fosters intergenerational conversations on climate action. Pim has spoken on platforms around the world and regularly participates in high profile panels. She leads our network of activators.
